Regular Season Round 7: TSV Troester - NINERS Academy 106-67

Everything went according to plan in Breitenguessbach where leader Junior Loewen (6-0) outleveled bottom-ranked NINERS (0-5) 106-67 on Sunday. Junior Loewen dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to NINERS's 20. Junior Loewen forced 23 NINERS turnovers and outrebounded them 50-22 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by NINERS's players. Kay Bruhnke (200-1) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Nicholas Tischler (198-0) chipped in 26 points. Bruno Albrecht (188-1) produced 24 points and 5 rebounds and Emmanuel Womala (194-0) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Junior Loewen. They maintain first place in Group 3 with 6-0 record. NINERS lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. Junior Loewen will face league's second-placed Heroes in Bayreuth in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. NINERS will play at home against Science City Jena (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
