Regular Season Round 1: Singapore S. - Formosa D. 73-77

Quite upsetting was Singapore Singapore Slingers' home defeat in a game versus Taiwanese Formosa D. 77-73. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: E.Tenn.St.) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and guard Jerran Young (198-91, college: Wright St.) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Four Singapore Slingers players scored in double figures. Singapore Slingers' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Formosa D. will meet Hong Kong ELL on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Singapore Slingers will play against Westports MD (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
