Regular Season Round 11: BK Kolin - BK Pardubice 97-96

The most exciting game of round 11 in the NBL took place in Kolin. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked BK Pardubice (7-3) to tenth ranked BK Kolin (4-7) 97-96 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BK Pardubice. BK Kolin made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Strangely BK Pardubice outrebounded BK Kolin 41-29 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward Alex Thompson (203-95, college: Samford) who led his team to a victory scoring 28 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard AJ Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) helped adding 26 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. International point guard Viktor Pulpan (191-96) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and American point guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St., agency: HMS) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four BK Kolin and five BK Pardubice players scored in double figures. BK Kolin moved-up to ninth place, which they share with NH Ostrava. BK Pardubice at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. BK Kolin is looking forward to face higher ranked BK Opava (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Pardubice will play against the league's leader CEZ Nymburk and will have a slim chance for a victory.
