Regular Season Round 2: Mono Vampire - Singapore S. 81-91

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bangkok where Thailand Mono Vampire (0-2) was defeated by Singapore Singapore Slingers (2-1) 91-81. Singapore Slingers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Mono Vampire's 30. Singapore Slingers forced 20 Mono Vampire turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Singapore Slingers players scored in double figures. Point guard Marcus Keene (180-95, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) added 28 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Mono Vampire. Mono Vampire's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
