An interesting game for Vermilion Birds (13-0) which played road game in Beijing against 3rd placed Beijing Great Wall (9-4). Leader Vermilion Birds managed to get a 4-point victory 89-85. Vermilion Birds looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Yueru Li (192-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds. YI Chen contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists for the winners. American center Morgan Tuck (188-94, college: Connecticut) answered with 27 points and 8 rebounds and international Song Gao (188-92) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Beijing Great Wall. Five Beijing Great Wall players scored in double figures. Vermilion Birds have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Defending champion Beijing Great Wall dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Xinjiang. Vermilion Birds are looking forward to face Tianjin (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Beijing Great Wall will play against the league's second-placed Bayi Kylin (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
