Regular Season Round 10: Olomouc Bbal - Ostrava 105-78

Very expected game when 6th ranked Ostrava (4-6) was smashed on the road by second ranked Olomouc Bbal (8-2) 105-78 on Friday. Olomouc Bbal made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Ostrava was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Adam Urbanek (196-93) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Swingman Marek Sehnal (196-96) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Olomouc Bbal's coach Michal Pekarek felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Michal Palat (194-90) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and forward Matej Snopek (195-0) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Ostrava. Four Ostrava players scored in double figures. Olomouc Bbal maintains second position in East with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader J.Hradec. Loser Ostrava dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Olomouc Bbal will face B&W Opava B (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Ostrava will play against SKB Zlin and hope to win that game.
