Regular Season Round 18: Shimane SM - Aomori Watts 88-65

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Shimane Magic (12-7) outscored at home 5th ranked Aomori Watts (6-13) 88-65 on Saturday. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 21 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Hungarian Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Shimane Magic's coach Yukinori Suzuki felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American forward Cullen Russo (206-94, college: Fresno St.) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Hiroki Usui (193-96) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Shimane Magic maintains third position with 12-7 record having just one point less than leader Shinshu BW. Aomori Watts lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
