Regular Season Round 10: Lommel - Sijsele 82-79

A very interesting game took place in Lommel. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 14th ranked Sijsele (2-7) to thirteenth ranked Lommel (3-6) 82-79 on Saturday evening. Guard Martijn Hendrix (183-86) fired 28 points for the winners. Point guard Toon Wesenbeek (176-97) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. The former international power forward Kristof Ongenaet (203-85, college: Syracuse) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Niels Hofmans (184-91) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Four Lommel and five Sijsele players scored in double figures. Lommel moved-up to eleventh place. Sijsele at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Lommel's next round opponent will be higher ranked Spirou B (#8) in Charleroi and it may be quite challenging game. Sijsele will play at home against Oxaco (#3) having rather not much hope for a victory.
