Regular Season Round 10: Utrera - San Fernando 91-45

There was no surprise when 10th ranked San Fernando (1-9) was outplayed on the road by fifth ranked Utrera (4-4) 91-45 on Saturday. Utrera forced 19 San Fernando turnovers. Power forward Francisco-Javier Marquez (203-99) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Andres Tejada (195-98) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Utrera players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Julio Suarez (194-86) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jaime Macias (190-93) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Utrera moved-up to fourth place in Group D-B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted San Fernando stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Utrera will face league's second-placed Benahavis on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. San Fernando's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from San Fernando DKV San Fernando.
