Regular Season Round 12: Challans - RAC Basket 92-74

No shocking result in a game when first ranked Vendee Challans (10-2) beat at home 11th ranked Rueil (5-7) 92-74 on Saturday. Vendee Challans forced 19 Rueil turnovers. Rueil was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Lithuanian forward Vaidotas Pridotkas (200-84) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Lens Aboudou (187-90) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Senegalese guard Lamine Sambe (188-89) replied with 24 points and 8 assists and American center Rashid Gaston (206-94, college: Norfolk St., agency: Inception Sports) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Rueil. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vendee Challans maintains first position in Group B with 10-2 record. Loser Rueil keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. Vendee Challans will face Toulouse (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rueil will play against Brissac Anjou in Brissac-Quince and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
