There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked GET Vosges (3-9) beat 12th ranked Recy Saint-Martin (3-9) in Golbey 79-74 on Saturday. GET Vosges forced 25 Recy Saint-Martin turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Rodney Williams (201-93, college: Drexel) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Naturalized Mali forward Namory Boundy (202-89) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and center Dylan David (201-95) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Recy Saint-Martin. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GET Vosges moved-up to twelfth place in Group A, which they share with defeated Recy Saint-Martin. Recy Saint-Martin lost fourth consecutive game. GET Vosges will face higher ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (#7) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
