Regular Season Round 3: Saigon H. - Macau 96-93

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Chinese Macau (2-1) on the court of Vietnamese Saigon Heat on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Saigon Heat 96-93. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Macau helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (185-87, college: Wisconsin) who led his team to a victory with 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Canadian Murphy Burnatowski (196-91, college: Colgate) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) answered with 32 points and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Macau. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saigon Heat are looking forward to face Formosa D. in Changhua City in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Macau will play at home against CLS Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
