Regular Season Round 10: Valle de Egues - La Fecha 82-68

There was no surprise in Olaz where 9th ranked La Fecha (2-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Valle de Egues (6-1) 82-68 on Sunday. Valle de Egues outrebounded La Fecha 42-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Alex Calvo (180-91) chipped in 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Jorge Martinez (185-96) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and forward Fernandez-Ivan Villamil (192-91) scored 14 points. La Fecha's coach Roberto Gonzalez rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valle de Egues keeps a position of Group A-A leader, which they share with Univ.Burgos and Ardoi. Loser La Fecha keeps the ninth place with five games lost. Valle de Egues will face Goierri (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. La Fecha will play against Miraflores and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
