The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Iserlohn (7-3) on the court of eleventh ranked Oldenburg on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Oldenburg 76-71. 24 personal fouls committed by Iserlohn helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Haris Hujic (192-97) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Point guard Jacob Hollatz (191-98) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Oldenburg players scored in double figures. American power forward Lamar Mallory (201-90, college: Glenville St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized Russian forward Nikita Khartchenkov (200-87) added 9 points in the effort for Iserlohn. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Oldenburg (4-6) moved-up to ninth place in North, which they share with Wolfenbuettel and Dresden. Iserlohn at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Rist Wedel. Oldenburg is looking forward to face higher ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Iserlohn will play against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
