Rather expected game when 6th ranked Kumanovo (4-3) was defeated on the road by third ranked MZT Skopje (6-2) 76-70. MZT Skopje made 22-of-27 charity shots (81.5 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Kumanovo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Croatian Ive Ivanov (200-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. Serbian point guard Filip Dumic (180-90) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and international Igor Penov (203-84) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Kumanovo. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MZT Skopje maintains third position with 6-2 record behind leader Blokotehna. Kumanovo at the other side keeps the sixth place with three games lost. MZT Skopje will have a break next round. Kumanovo will play at home against Feni Industries (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
