Regular Season Round 9: Zadar - Buducnost 69-89

The game in Zadar supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (7-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Croatian KK Zadar (3-6). Buducnost did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-69 on Monday. Buducnost shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. French Edwin Jackson (190-89, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 assists for the winners and American Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 15 points. Five Buducnost players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Swedish forward Will Magarity (211-93, college: Davidson, agency: Octagon Europe) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Mislav Brzoja (198-94, college: Evansville, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Buducnost. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mega Bemax. Loser KK Zadar keeps the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Buducnost will meet at home Mega Bemax (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KK Zadar will play against the league's leader Crvena Zvezda (#1) in Beograd and hope to secure a win.
