Regular Season Round 11: Loko Plzen - Sokol Prazky 74-63

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Sokol Prazky (3-8) lost on the road to fifth ranked BK Loko Plzen (6-5) 74-63 on Friday. Sokol Prazky was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Jaroslav Lejsek (198-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Vaclav Honomichl (186-92) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jan Sterba (195-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 24 rebounds and center Jan Stepanek (190-83) added 17 points in the effort for Sokol Prazky. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Loko Plzen moved-up to fourth place in West, which they share with Sokol Pisek. Loser Sokol Prazky keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. BK Loko Plzen will face league's second-placed USK Praha B on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sokol Prazky will play against Nymburk B (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
