There was a minor upset in Arroyo Encomienda where 7th ranked Miraflores (5-3) was defeated by ninth ranked La Fecha (3-6) 78-74 on Saturday. La Fecha forced 19 Miraflores turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Jorge Martinez (185-96) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals. Guard Alan Morchon (185-99) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Power forward Alberto Alonso (200-1) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Victor Aguilar (185-98) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Five Miraflores players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. La Fecha maintains ninth place in Group A-A with 3-6 record. Loser Miraflores dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. La Fecha will face Univ.Valladolid (#11) on the road in the next round.
