Regular Season Round 4: Pirates - Shockers 83-77

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Nassau: Pirates (#5) and Shockers (#8). Pirates (2-2) won against visiting Shockers (1-4) 83-77. They outrebounded Shockers 55-36 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American Dominique Fernander (, college: Hobart) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Kronoff Dean (173) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Pirates' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Adam Johnson replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and Jefferson Oliver added 11 points in the effort for Shockers. Pirates maintains fifth position with 2-2 record. Shockers lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with four games lost. Pirates' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Nassau Stingers.
