Rather expected game when 5th ranked KFUM Blackeberg (3-4) lost to second ranked BG Lulea (5-2) in Vallingby 88-92 on Saturday. KFUM Blackeberg was trailing by 12 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 28-18 charge of BG Lulea, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 20 KFUM Blackeberg turnovers. It was a good game for Denzel George (189-1) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Gustav Moberg (189-0) contributed with 24 points for the winners. BG Lulea's coach Fredrik Joulamo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Joacim Edlund (195-93) answered with 30 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Daniel Persson (198-91) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for KFUM Blackeberg. Five BG Lulea and four KFUM Blackeberg players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for BG Lulea. They maintain second place with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Team4Q, which they share with Bankeryd. Loser KFUM Blackeberg dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. BG Lulea will have a break next round. KFUM Blackeberg will play on the road against the league's leader Taby Basket (#1) and hope to win that game.
