There was no surprise when bottom-ranked San Fernando (0-9) was crushed at home by third ranked DKV San Fernando (7-2) 81-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by DKV San Fernando. They was better in fourth quarter 24-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Jose Ruiz (200-97) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Federico Ristori (194-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Iago Paz produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and center Simon Ruiz (197-87) added 9 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. DKV San Fernando moved-up to second place in Group D-B, which they share with Benahavis. Newly promoted San Fernando still closes the standings with nine games lost. DKV San Fernando will face Benahavis (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. San Fernando will play against Huelva (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
