Very expected game when 16th ranked Lugo (1-9) was rolled over at home by first ranked Faenza (9-1) 98-68 on Saturday. Faenza dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Lugo's 32. Faenza forced 22 Lugo turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Point guard Mattia Venucci (188-90) fired 29 points and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Gioacchino Chiappelli (198-91) chipped in 9 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Point guard Antonio Brighi (190-96) produced 13 points and 5 rebounds and center Jonas Bracci (203-96) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Faenza maintains first position in B with 9-1 record.
