Very expected game when 12th ranked Rosenheim (3-8) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Vilsbiburg (6-5) 75-67 on Saturday. Vilsbiburg made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Rosenheim turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Michael Mayr (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 steals and American swingman Grant Corsi (196-94, college: Trinity Intern.) who added 21 points and 6 rebounds (went 12 for 12 at the free throw line !!!) during the contest. Vilsbiburg's coach Marc Vilas used entire bench saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Jguwon Hogges (173-86, college: Oregon Tech) with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Liberian center Varfie Kromah (206-96) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Vilsbiburg have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in South-East, which they share with 4 other teams. Rosenheim lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Vilsbiburg will face league's leader Topstar in Diedorf in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
