Regular Season Round 10: Sokol HK - USK Praha 65-97

ZBL top team - USK Praha (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove (5-4) 97-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sokol Hradec Kralove. USK Praha dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sokol Hradec Kralove's 34. USK Praha forced 20 Sokol Hradec Kralove turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Alyssa Thomas (188-92, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. French forward Valerianne Ayayi (184-94) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures. Croatian center Josipa Bura (186-85) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Klara Mareckova (185-90) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sokol Hradec Kralove. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. USK Praha have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Sokol Hradec Kralove at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. USK Praha will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sokol Hradec Kralove will play on the road against LOKO Trutnov (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
