Regular Season Round 11: Gimle Pride - Ullern 46-51

An interesting game for Ullern (11-0) which played road game in Bergen against 3rd placed Gimle Pride (5-2). Leader Ullern managed to get a 5-point victory 51-46. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gimle Pride. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gimle Pride won fourth quarter 10-6. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Gimle Pride 38-26 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Mia Henriksen (180-84) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Ullern's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Sigrid Hardie (164-94) answered with 15 points and center Josefin Winther (180-86) added 8 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gimle Pride. Ullern have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Gimle Pride at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. Ullern will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gimle Pride's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bergen to the arena Bergen.
