Regular Season Round 12: Tromso - Fyllingen BBK 111-117

The game in Tromso was also quite interesting. Third ranked Fyllingen BBK (10-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Tromso (6-6). Fyllingen BBK managed to secure a 6-point victory 117-111 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tromso. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tromso won fourth quarter 27-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fyllingen BBK made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points and 22 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Marius Sumskis (202-88) who added 25 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Cam Gregory (203-95, college: Loyola, MD) with a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 25 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Johannes Lange (179-98) scored 34 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fyllingen BBK maintains third position with 10-4 record having just three points less than leader Gimle BBK. Loser Tromso keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Fyllingen BBK will meet at home Centrum (#7) in the next round. Tromso will play against Nidaros Jets and hope to secure a win.
