Regular Season Round 4: Saigon H. - Formosa D. 85-86

The most exciting game of round 4 in the ASEAN League took place in Saigon. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Vietnamese Saigon Heat (3-0) to top-ranked Taiwanese Formosa D. (3-0) 86-85 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Saigon Heat. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Formosa D. dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Saigon Heat's 24. Formosa D. had a 36-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Will Artino (211-92, college: Creighton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Tevin Glass (206-94, college: E.Tenn.St.) who added 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Formosa D. players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian Murphy Burnatowski (196-91, college: Colgate) responded with 39 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and American center Kyle Barone (203-89, college: Idaho) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Formosa D. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 3-0 record, which they share with Saigon H. Formosa D. is looking forward to face Hong Kong ELL (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Saigon Heat will play against Macau (#4) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
