No shocking result in a game when third ranked Olimpia Matera (8-2) defeated at home 13th ranked Pozzuoli (2-8) 67-56 on Sunday. Olimpia Matera made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Pozzuoli was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Argentinian power forward Enzo-Damian Cena (200-92) fired 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Giacomo Sereni (200-84) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Olimpia Matera players scored in double figures. Forward Francesco Errico (192-90) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Gennaro Tessitore (189-82) added 8 points respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Olimpia Matera went down to fourth position (B) due to points difference. Newly promoted Pozzuoli keeps the thirteenth place with eight games lost. Olimpia Matera will face Roma S.Azzurra (#5) on the road in the next round. Pozzuoli will play against Catania Alfa (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
