Regular Season Round 11: Ostrava - Zlin 78-81

A very close game took place in Ostrava between SKB Zlin and Ostrava. Third ranked SKB Zlin (8-3) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Ostrava (4-7). SKB Zlin managed to escape with a 3-point win 81-78 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. SKB Zlin forced 20 Ostrava turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Tomas Voslajer (211-90) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Petr Dokoupil (191-88) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Guard David Jakel (180) came up with 28 points and 4 assists and point guard Jan Ricka (180-98) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Ostrava in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKB Zlin have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in East, which they share with Olomouc Bbal. Ostrava lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. SKB Zlin will meet at home league's second-placed Olomouc Bbal in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ostrava will play against the league's leader BK Prostejov B (#1) and hope to secure a win.
