Regular Season Round 11: Novy Jicin - Pardubice 69-64

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Novy Jicin (6-5) beat at home 6th ranked Pardubice (5-5) 69-64 on Sunday. Strangely Pardubice outrebounded Novy Jicin 55-38 including a 26-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pardubice was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Jan Leczo (198-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Zdenek Jakubu (185-97) contributed with 11 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Novy Jicin players scored in double figures. Point guard Tomas Tkadlec (190-99) answered with 22 points and Ondrej Vycha (196-99) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Pardubice. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Novy Jicin maintains fourth place in East with 6-5 record, which they share with Vysocina. Loser Pardubice keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Novy Jicin will face Sokol Slapanice (#9) in Slapnice in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pardubice will play at home against Vysocina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
