Regular Season Round 5: Macau - Saigon H. 97-95

The most exciting game of round 5 in the ASEAN League took place in Macau. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Vietnamese Saigon Heat (4-2) to second ranked Chinese Macau (5-2) 97-95 on Wednesday evening. Macau looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Anthony Tucker (193-89, college: MSU Moorhead) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists. His fellow American import power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Two Points) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds. Canadian Murphy Burnatowski (196-91, college: Colgate) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and American center Kyle Barone (203-89, college: Idaho) added 25 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Macau have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 5-2 record behind leader Formosa D. Saigon Heat at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. Macau will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saigon Heat will play at home against Westports MD (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
