Sixth-ranked Bank of Taiwan (2-7) used its home court advantage to challenge top-ranked Taiwan Beer (8-0) on Friday. Taiwan Beer managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Taiwan Beer held Bank of Taiwan to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-89) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds. International Po-Hsun Chou (197-91) contributed with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American center Greg Smith (208-91, college: Fresno St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and American-Bahrain swingman Rashad Woods (197-86, college: Kent St., agency: Haylett Sports) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Bank of Taiwan. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taiwan Beer maintains first position with 8-0 record. Bank of Taiwan lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with seven games lost. Taiwan Beer are looking forward to face Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Bank of Taiwan will play again against the league's leader Taiwan Beer (#1) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
