Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Lakers (5-5) defeated on the road 10th ranked Pully (2-8) 93-85 on Saturday. Lakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Ronald March (196-93, college: Philander Smith) who scored 32 points and 7 rebounds. Vincent Gaillard (203-93) chipped in 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). March is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Lakers players scored in double figures. Nigerian power forward Avery Ugba (204-94, college: Austin Peay St.) produced 29 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Anton Wilson (196-94, college: Detroit Mercy) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Pully's coach Randoald Dessarzin rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lakers maintains sixth place with 5-5 record. Pully lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Lakers will meet higher ranked Massagno (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pully will play against Boncourt (#7) and hope to secure a win.
