Regular Season Round 9: Kozuv - Blokotehna 64-74

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Gevgelija: Blokotehna (#1) and Kozuv (#7). Kozuv was defeated at home 64-74 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Blokotehna outrebounded Kozuv 41-24 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Marjan Mladenovic (180-87) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Serbian power forward Danilo Mijatovic (206-83) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Blokotehna players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Rob Lewis (185-94, college: Queens, NC) who recorded 21 points and Nikola Karakolev (197-87) added 19 points respectively. Blokotehna maintains first place with 8-1 record. Kozuv at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Blokotehna are looking forward to face Kumanovo (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kozuv will have a break next round.
