Regular Season Round 10: Crvena Zvezda - Zadar 97-70
Date: December 9, 2018
ABA League top team - Serbian Crvena Zvezda (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Croatian KK Zadar (3-7) in Beograd 97-70. It was a great shooting night for Crvena Zvezda especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-89, college: Wichita St.) notched 17 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Greek Stratos Perperoglou (203-84) supported him with 15 points and 4 assists. Four Crvena Zvezda players scored in double figures. Even 16 points by American point guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) did not help to save the game for KK Zadar. His fellow American import swingman Mario Little (198-87, college: Kansas) added 14 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Crvena Zvezda have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending Serbian champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. KK Zadar lost fourth consecutive game. Loser KK Zadar dropped to the ninth place with seven games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Crvena Zvezda will meet Mega Bemax (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KK Zadar will play against Igokea (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
