Regular Season Round 11: Valmontone - Battipaglia 101-69
Date: December 9, 2018
Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Battipaglia (0-11) was outscored on the road by thirteenth ranked Valmontone (2-7) 101-69 on Sunday. Valmontone dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Battipaglia's 26. They outrebounded Battipaglia 44-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. Valmontone looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Battipaglia's players. Matteo Pierangeli (201-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Valmontone players scored in double figures. Point guard Diego Martino (167-93) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Alessio Ronconi (192-95) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Battipaglia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
