Regular Season Round 9: Shumen - Chernomorets 69-80

An interesting game for Chernomorets (4-1) which played road game in Shumen against 4th placed Shumen (1-4). Second ranked Chernomorets managed to get a 11-point victory 80-69. Chernomorets forced 22 Shumen turnovers. Andy Francis (192-99) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and forward Georgi Kenderov (196-99) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Chernomorets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Aleksandar Delev (196-94) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Anton Dikov (190-94) scored 22 points and 5 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Chernomorets. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with UE Varna. Shumen lost their fourth game in a row. Chernomorets will play against league's leader UE Varna at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shumen will play against Chavdar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
