Regular Season Round 17: Rivne - DYUSH-DOR 83-50

Leader Rivne-OSHVSM delivered the thirteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked DYUSH-DOR (2-12) 83-50. The game was mostly controlled by Rivne-OSHVSM. DYUSH-DOR managed to win second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding DYUSH-DOR to just 2 points in fourth quarter. Rivne-OSHVSM dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to DYUSH-DOR's 22 and made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Rivne-OSHVSM forced 23 DYUSH-DOR turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Forward Vasil Fedorchuk (200-96) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and swingman Nazar Kisilchuk (195-97) chipped in 17 points. Four Rivne-OSHVSM players scored in double figures. Point guard Andriy Raus (175-91) responded with 14 points and forward Oleksandr Kuznetsov (196-78) scored 15 points. DYUSH-DOR's coach Stanislav Kakovkin gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Rivne-OSHVSM. They maintain first place with 13-2 record, which they share with Ternopil-TNEU. DYUSH-DOR lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Rivne-OSHVSM will meet league's leader Ternopil-TNEU on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. DYUSH-DOR will play against Lutsk Univ. (#5) and hope to secure a win.
