Regular Season Round 15: Tokyo Big Blue - Iwate Big Bulls 72-77

Bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to eighth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (5-15) 77-72. Iwate Big Bulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Imai Hiroki (181-92) helped adding 11 points and 7 assists. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Jey Yoshikawa (182-92) scored 22 points. Iwate Big Bulls have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Gifu Swoops. Tokyo Big Blue at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will play against league's second-placed Koshigaya A. in Tokyo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tokyo Big Blue will play on the road against Gifu Swoops (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
