Regular Season Round 6: Stingers - Regulators 93-82

Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Nassau: Stingers (#1) and Regulators (#7). Stingers (6-1) won against visiting Regulators (1-5) 93-82. Stingers forced 22 Regulators turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Regulators were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Salathiel Dean scored 25 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Torrington Cox (201-85, college: King) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Stingers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Renardo Baillou with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Carlos Thompson scored 14 points and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Stingers maintains first position with 6-1 record. Regulators at the other side keep the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Defenders. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
