No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Vietnamese Saigon Heat (6-4) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Chinese Zhuhai (1-8) 105-86 on Thursday. They outrebounded Zhuhai 49-32 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Saigon Heat looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Kyle Barone (203-89, college: Idaho) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. Canadian Murphy Burnatowski (196-91, college: Colgate) chipped in 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) produced 24 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Eric Tisby (173-88, college: Sioux Falls) added 11 points, 9 assists and 4 steals respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Saigon Heat moved-up to third place. Zhuhai lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Saigon Heat will face Mono Vampire (#9) in Bangkok in the next round where they are favorite. Zhuhai will play on the road against SM Beermen in Manila and hope to win that game.
