Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 87-72 loss to fifth ranked Lorient (9-5) in Paris. Lorient outrebounded CFBB 39-20 including a 26-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Vincent Pourchot (222-92) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and naturalized American forward Jordan Semple (201-92, college: Chico St., agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Lorient players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 6 assists by guard Lorenzo Thirouard-Samson (197-1) did not help to save the game for CFBB. Guard Timothe Crusol (185-1) added 6 points and 8 assists for the hosts. CFBB's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
