Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Kirchheim Knights (7-7) won against on the road 11th ranked Schalke (5-7) 80-74. The best player for the winners was American point guard Dajuan Graf (185-92, college: N.C.Central) who scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade) chipped in 16 points. American guard Courtney Belger (187-89, college: Quincy) produced 18 points and 5 assists and center Adam Touray (208-94) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Kirchheim Knights and four Schalke players scored in double figures. Schalke's coach Raphael Wilder tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kirchheim Knights moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Rostock and Ehingen. Newly promoted Schalke dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Kirchheim Knights' next round opponent will be league's leader Chemnitz at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
