Regular Season Round 7: MKS Start - Vastra 73-57

There was no surprise in Lublin where bottom-ranked Swedish Vastra (0-9) was defeated by tenth ranked Polish TBV Start (4-5) 73-57 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by TBV Start. Vastra was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vastra to just 7 points in first quarter. It was a great evening for guard Bartlomiej Pelczar (186-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Jan Piliszczuk (185-0) helped adding 24 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Alexander Armarker (183-99) responded with 8 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Rami Hult (185-0) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. TBV Start maintains tenth place with 4-5 record, which they share with SMS PZKosz. Vastra lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. TBV Start will face higher ranked TTU BS (#5) in Tallinn in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vastra will play at home against Riga/LU (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
