Seventh-ranked GBA Sparta (4-9) used its home court advantage to challenge leader BK Lions Hradec (13-0) in Praha. The visitors from J.Hradec managed to secure only two-point victory 92-90. However their fans expected much easier game. BK Lions Hradec made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for BK Lions Hradec especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Power forward Stanislav Zuzak (204-80, college: Cal-Irvine) stepped up and scored 31 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and center Jan Tomanec (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side Norwegian Seikou Jawara (-0) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Daniel Randuska (161-99) scored 12 points and 9 assists. Four BK Lions Hradec and five GBA Sparta players scored in double figures. BK Lions Hradec have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place in West with 13-0 record. GBA Sparta lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Sokol Prazky and Nymburk B. BK Lions Hradec will play against BK Loko Plzen (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. GBA Sparta will play against Sokol Pisek and hopes to get back on the winning track.
