Regular Season Round 7: TTU BS - Riga/LU 52-50

Important game to mention about took place in Tallinn. Fifth ranked Estonian TTU BS (6-3) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Latvian Riga/LU (6-3) 52-50 in the game for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Riga/LU. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Riga/LU won fourth quarter 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for Latvian forward Arthur-Herman Entsik (200-0) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Karl-Kristjan Karpin (-0) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. Guard Roberts Berze (194-1) came up with 23 points and 5 rebounds and guard Niks Salenieks (185-0) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Riga/LU in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. TTU BS have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 6-3 record, which they share with defeated Riga/LU. TTU BS will play against TBV Start (#10) in Lublin in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Riga/LU will play on the road against Vastra (#16) in Goteborg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
