Regular Season Round 13: Jairis - Benidorm 88-92

Rather predictable result when second ranked Benidorm (6-3) won against on the road 5th ranked Jairis (5-5) 92-88 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Benidorm especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Quite impressive performance for American forward Nick Davidson (198-96, college: Bloomfield) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Alvaro Martin (183-92) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and guard Pepe Llorente (185-82) added 21 points in the effort for Jairis. Four Jairis players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Benidorm. They maintain second place in Group E-B with 6-3 record having six points less than leader Lliria. Jairis lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Benidorm will face Cartagena (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
