Very expected game when 12th ranked Marousi (4-6) lost to sixth ranked Ermis Agias (7-3) in Athens 74-82 on Saturday. Ermis Agias looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a very good performance for Latvian Rihards Kuksiks (201-88, college: Arizona St.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. The former international forward Nestoras Kommatos (203-77) contributed with 6 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Orfeas Stasinos (183-98) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Chris Likogiannis (198-84) added 18 points in the effort for Marousi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ermis Agias moved-up to third place. Loser Marousi dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Ermis Agias will face league's leader Iraklis in Thessaloniki in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Marousi will play on the road against Apollon Patras (#14) and hope to win that game.
