Everything went according to plan when thirteenth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (4-6) defeated 17th ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (1-9) in Weissenfels 95-89. Deutsche Bank Skyliners players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Jason Clark (188-90, college: Georgetown) who scored 29 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Robertson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Trevor Releford (183-91, college: Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 assists and naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Deutsche Bank Skyliners moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Wuerzburg. Mitteldeutscher BC lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventeenth position with nine games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners' next round opponent will be Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#16) at home. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against Crailsheim Merlins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
