The game in Zahle was also quite interesting. Third ranked Al Riyadi (4-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Atlas F. (2-3). Al Riyadi managed to secure a 7-point victory 69-62 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Atlas F.. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Jean Abdel-Nour (198-83) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds. Naturalized Egyptian power forward Ahmad Ismail (205-76) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. American guard Ghassan Nehme (190, college: Fair Dickinson) produced 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import power forward Darian Townes (208-84, college: Arkansas) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Atlas F.'s coach Elie Nasr tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Al Riyadi have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Homentmen. Newly promoted Atlas F. keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Al Riyadi will meet at home Al Moutahed (#5) in the next round. Atlas F. will play against Byblos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
